Pro Bono Work

When a local pub chef Pierce found himself out of work in the pandemic, he teamed up with his partner Kat to capitalise on his love of chicken wings and start offering a local take away service.
After tasting the wings, I couldn't help but reach out to see if they needed a hand, after a brief email exchange with Pierce - I got to work. The route was obvious, combine the most spicy thing in Wollaton (the bucks in the park, surely?!) with the spicy sauces Pierce was serving, with a vivid orange buffalo sauce colourway.

I provided them with a logo and social graphics that reflected the professionalism of the product (I should know, I ate enough of them!) - which helped give them the edge they needed to expand deliveries further afield.
Getting paid in Chicken Wings
My new favourite currency
As they expanded into offering burger and breakfasts (like a proper American diner, I guess!) I did some menu designs for them in trade for more Wings, a method by which I wish I could be paid more often…

I carried out this work as part of the BrandAid project, an initiative I ran during my pandemic furlough to offer free branding and logos to creatives and small businesses who were just trying to make it work and needed all the help they could get.
